Introduction to electric forklifts

Electric forklifts are material handling equipment powered by batteries, converting chemical energy into electrical energy. They are mainly classified into four-way electric forklifts, electric pallet stackers, and manual electric lift stackers. They utilize transistor controllers (SCR and MOSFETs) to improve performance and are characterized by being pollution-free, easy to operate, energy-efficient, and highly effective. For daily use, batteries should not be laid horizontally and should be replenished with distilled water regularly.

In 2006, China's electric forklift sales reached 22,874 units, an increase of nearly 38% over the previous year, but the market share was only 21%. Sany Robotics launched China's first 300V high-voltage lithium-ion battery forklift, with a full-load gradeability of 25%, and can work for 8 hours after a 1-hour charge. A single delivery of 40 units was achieved in the Middle East. Wenshang County promoted electric forklifts through a leasing model. Taking a 4-ton counterbalance forklift as an example, the lithium-ion battery forklift reduces carbon emissions by 6,900 kg annually compared to a National II diesel forklift. This equipment, with its electronic steering system and electrical signal control, is widely used in ports, warehousing, and food industries.
