A telescopic boom lift is a common type of aerial work platform. Its extendable telescopic boom allows for flexible vertical and horizontal movement, making it suitable for applications requiring high-altitude work, such as building maintenance, equipment installation, and venue cleaning.
A telescopic boom lift platform mainly consists of a chassis, a rotating base, a telescopic boom system, a work platform, and a hydraulic/electric control system. The chassis provides stable support, while the rotating base allows for 360-degree horizontal rotation. The telescopic boom system, driven by multi-stage hydraulic cylinders or chains, can be extended and retracted in sections to adjust height and reach. The work platform is equipped with safety railings and an operating panel; some models also integrate fall protection devices. Its working principle is similar to a robotic arm, using hydraulic or electric power to drive the boom movement, combined with sensors and a control system for precise positioning.
